Christmas is about birth, not death

My paternal grandmother passed away on Christmas at around 7:55am. We got to the hospital pre-dawn. When the sun rose, my grandma's breaths became more shallow and rapid until finally she stopped breathing entirely. While this was occurring, I noticed MTA buses making its christmas scheduled stops. I wondered where people could possibly be going at 8:00am on Christmas morning. Where had my grandma gone?
(The pictures below were taken the Friday before Christmas. I was afraid to look into the camera when taking the shots, so I secretly took the pictures from under my armpits.)

Being cold sucks!

Warmer climates

This picture was taken before we hiked the Appalachian Trail at the Delaware Watergap during the summer. As I write this description, I remember the humidity, the hills, the burning pain in my quads, the sweat, and the damn mosquitoes. On second thought, being cold rocks!
